[Abstract] Tomes, Canons and Classical Texts are limited in informing about cross cultural differences. Understanding cultural differences in child- rearing practices is a key.
Caregiver patterns of “frustration” and “indulgence” offer valuable clues and these clues highlight how cultural differences arise and can be understood.
This knowledge allows us to be more curious, aware and accepting and it has important implications for the Asian EAP process.
